


The Recorder reports that the California Supreme Court has dismissed an attempt to expand asbestos liability to manufacturers that did not actually handle or use asbestos. Plaintiffs argued that manufacturers had a duty to warn if they knew their products would be used alongside asbestos-containing materials, an idea the court said “would represent unprecedented expansion” of liability.
