Trump Seeks Power to Fire CFPB Director: The Trump administration said late last week that the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s leadership structure was unconstitutional and asked the D.C. Circuit to allow the U.S. president to fire the bureau’s director at will.  (Law360)

Confirmation Hearings to Begin for Supreme Court Nominee Gorsuch: Today, U.S. Supreme Court nominee, Neil Gorsuch, will go before the Senate Judiciary Committee for a three-day confirmation hearing. Gorsuch is a native of Denver and a federal judge on the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals based there which hears cases from six western states. (NBC News
