South Carolina Lawmakers Considering Bill to Limit State’s Use of Outside Attorneys: Senator Ross Turner introduced S. 419 to limit the type of cases in which the South Carolina attorney general or other state solicitors can hire outside attorneys, and the amount the state can pay. The bill is “aimed at curtailing the state’s involvement in class action lawsuits sometimes generated outside the state.” (Palmetto Business Daily)
