Good news, bad news in West Virginia’s business climate: West Virginia Secretary of Commerce Woody Thrasher said the state’s improvement from 50 to 45 in the 2017 Lawsuit Climate Survey is the “kind of incremental progress that shows the business community” the state is “starting to get our act together.” Despite the good news, he said the state must continue to improve, particularly regarding the “frustrating speech at which cases are moving through our court system.” (Exponent Telegram)
