  • DOJ Releases False Claims Act Cooperation Guidance

The U.S. Department of Justice unveiled new guidance to describe how companies can earn cooperation credit in False Claims Act investigations, Law360 reports.

Assistant Attorney General Jody Hunt said the new guidance was part of a broader effort to “incentivize companies to voluntarily disclose misconduct and cooperate with our investigations." Under the guidance, companies can receive varying levels of cooperation credit if they make voluntary disclosures to the government, cooperate with the government’s investigation, undertake effective remediation, and have a robust compliance program in place.
