A former executive at the major litigation funding firm Bentham IMF launched his own new firm this week, Law360 reports.
Ralph Sutton, Bentham’s former chief investment officer, announced the launch of his new firm called Validity Finance. Sutton said his firm is backed by $250 million in private equity and other commitments. It will be staffed by former attorneys from Boies Schiller Flexner LLP, and Kirkland & Ellis LLP, which has traditionally been a defense firm. The firm is headquartered in New York and will operate out of offices in Chicago and Houston.
