Clock For State Claims Stops In Federal Court, SCOTUS Says: The U.S. Supreme Court ruled 5-4 that “statutes of limitations for state claims are suspended while those claims are pending in federal court.” In his dissent, Justice Neil Gorsuch said the ruling is “no small intrusion on traditional state functions and no small departure from our foundational principles of federalism.” (Law360)
