DC Circ. Partly Strikes Down FCC's TCPA Expansion: The D.C. Circuit released a 51-page opinion this morning that narrows a 2015 Federal Communications Commission order that expanded the scope of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. (Law360)

Op-ed: Fla. Assignment of Benefits Lawsuit Abuse “Out of Control”:
An American Consumer Institute op-ed says that lawyers and home improvement contractors use assignment of benefits lawsuits to “enrich themselves at the expense of Florida consumers.” According to the piece, skyrocketing assignment of benefits lawsuits “could cause insurance premium spikes of 25 percent for some homeowners” if action is not taken.
