Controversial class action settlement changed after intervention from AGs, DOJ and CCAF: In response to intervention from the Department of Justice, 19 State AGs, and civil justice groups, a controversial class action settlement proposal in the “Wines ‘Til Sold Out” case has been revised by defendants. The initial settlement proposal would have awarded class counsel $1.7 million and left class members with $2 wine coupons. The new proposal reduces the class counsel award to $1.2 million and creates a $500 thousand cash pool for class compensation. (Legal Newsline)
