Protein Bar Manufacturer Says “Professional Plaintiff” Never Ate the Bar She Sued Over: ONE Brands, a company that makes protein bars, told the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia that the woman who sued them over the amount of sugar in their products “did not take a single bite of the ONE Bars that form the basis of her complaint.” Rather, the company says “she purchased the bars solely to file this suit.” (Forbes/Legal Newsline)

New Jersey Court Offers Competing Autodialer Definitions: A federal judge in New Jersey last week issued a ruling that “is deeply and directly at odds by two earlier decisions entered by” a different judge on the same court. The decisions show a spilt among judges on the same court over the definition of automated telephone dialing system within the bounds of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. (National Law Review)
