A week after six lawyers left a Plaintiffs Steering Committee, a lawyer has voluntarily dropped a bellweather transvaginal mesh case against CR Bard Inc.  No explanation was given for why the case was dropped.  National Law Journal

The lawyer who has spent years suing Chevron over Ecuadorian environmental claims says the international tribunal that released Chevron from liability is a “quasi court” that lacks any authority.  Last week, the tribunal ruled that agreements signed in the 1990’s between the Ecuadorian government and the company settled all collective environmental claims.  Legal Newsline
