Former New York State Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver was found guilty of corruption for the second time.

Among other things, Silver was charged with improperly steering state grants to doctors who referred asbestos patients to a law firm that was paying Silver legal fees. The jury delivered the verdict after one day of deliberations. (New York Daily News)
