  • Temple University Urges Judge To Ax COVID Tuition Refund Suit
July 16, 2020

Temple University told a federal judge that it had made no promise to provide in-person learning to a student who launched a would-be class action in May seeking tuition refunds after the school moved its classes online as a result of the COVID pandemic, according to a report in Law 360.

The Philadelphia-based university urged the judge to throw out the case because there was no contractual provision requiring that the university provide in-classroom instruction.

Temple University is one of several colleges and universities across the nation facing COVID-related lawsuits.
